As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of multiple residential projects, ensuring that mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) are designed, installed, and completed to the highest standards. You will manage the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with client specifications. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all mechanical aspects of residential construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and associated services. Take full responsibility for project planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulations, and quality standards. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all mechanical works are completed within agreed timelines. Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and projects are delivered within financial constraints. Lead, supervise, and support mechanical engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure effective team performance. Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives. Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times, and risk assessments and method statements are prepared and followed. Resolve any technical issues on-site, offering guidance and expertise to the team. Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, and submittals. Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, reports, and progress updates for senior management. Act as the key point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. Requirements: Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager, ideally within the residential construction sector. Strong knowledge and experience in the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. In-depth understanding of building regulations, mechanical design, and construction processes. Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing mechanical teams and subcontractors. Ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. Financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and resources. Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
