Senior Financial Accountant, Charity, Hybrid role c£38 – £44k
A fantastic opportunity exists for a qualified Accountant and experienced Finance professional to join this Charity as their team expands. The charity has been providing excellent service for many years and the role requires a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and will be a key member of their Charity Finance Team, within Finance Operations, as they automate processes, implement and maximise new tech systems and develop better data and reporting capabilities. This role will act as a deputy to the Head of Finance and Corporate Services and will be responsible for the preparation, development and analysis of timely financial accounting information, financial statements, regulatory reporting and financial controls. You will provide expertise across Monthly Accounts and Management Information, Financial Processes and Controls, Year End Accounts / Statutory Audit, Data and Systems Development and a variety of other financial systems and processes.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Significant experience within a finance/accountancy environment as a senior finance professional
* Experience of preparing statutory accounts, final accounts for audit, financial reports
* Experience of managing cash flow and working capital
* Experience of advising non-finance specialists in financial management
* Demonstrable experience of managing online accounting systems maintenance and development (ideally experience of Dynamics365 and Jet reporting)
Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent technical finance and accounting knowledge
* Excellent communicator and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing
* Ability to lead a team in actively promoting the cultural values of the organisation
* Significant understanding of financial control and risk
* The ability to be decisive, proactive and use initiative
* Strong excel skills and use of data manipulation tools
* Ability to prioritise and manage own workloads, be organised, have a flexible working style and enjoy working to tight deadlines
* Possess a problem solving, analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
The role is a hybrid remote working / office-based position with the ability to visit their UK hubs upon occasion and offers a salary up to around £44k + benefits package. It is offered as a fixed term temporary role with a view to appoint in a permanent capacity ideally.
