At Next, our Imports Team plays a crucial role in ensuring that our directly sourced products arrive at our warehouses efficiently and on time. Managing the movement of over 12,000 containers and 13 million kg of air-freight annually, we deliver a turnover of over £4bn across various business teams. Working closely with some of the world’s largest freight forwarders and shipping companies, as well as multiple internal departments—including buying, merchandising, warehousing, legal, customs, and finance—you’ll be part of a fast-paced and dynamic environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities. The Role The role is offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis As an Imports/Exports Analyst, you’ll support the Senior Analyst in managing the supply chain process for one of our key trading areas: Mens, Womens, Children's, Home, or Brands. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that shipments are booked, tracked, and delivered efficiently within planned time-frames and budgets. Your key responsibilities will include: Liaising with freight forwarders and internal teams to maintain high levels of service and resolve any supply chain issues. Managing shared inboxes, responding to queries related to shipments and contracts. Supporting departmental projects, such as new supplier integration. Ensuring KPIs such as On Time in Full, Cost Management, and Data Accuracy are met. Checking and processing freight invoices in collaboration with our Pune (India) team, resolving discrepancies within payment deadlines. Maintaining system settings for transit times, routings, and port pairings across all transport modes. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including warehouse teams and external logistics partners. Managing the claims and cost recovery process for non-compliant stock, coordinating returns where necessary. The ideal candidate will have: Experience in international supply chains and logistics management. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to interpret data and reports effectively. A results-driven mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities. Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.
