Fixed term or Secondment Opportunity* for 12 months to cover substantive post holders maternity leave

The Candidate should then take it with them to interview as confirmation that an agreement has been granted.
The vaccine holding centre is currently based within the pharmacy department at Falkirk Community Hospital. The successful candidate will lead the team of Pharmacy Support Workers and will manage the supply of vaccines to ensure delivery of the National Immunisation Programmes within locations throughout NHS Forth Valley.
You should be an organised person who can work to deadlines and enjoys interaction with members of the public and healthcare staff.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
Duties will include –
1. Managing the Pharmacy Vaccine Service and the team
2. Stock management of vaccines for NHS Forth Valley
3. Investigate and provide information and advice on cold chain items that have been stored outside the 2-8oC temperature range
4. Provide cold chain advice to wards and clinics in NHS Forth Valley
5. Work with the Immunisation Team to plan and develop new/current vaccination programmes
Previous experience in a related field would be advantageous but not essential.
Full time post hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm.
Working Public Holidays is a requirement of this post.
