An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Operational Support Manager to work within the Information Governance Team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, resilient, and a self-motivated starter/finisher who has a passion for driving excellence and working with people.
You will be an experienced line manager, as the key requirement of the role will be to provide day to day line management to the System Access Administrators within the IG Operational Team to ensure that they are able to deliver an efficient and timely service to the Trust’s users.
You will be highly organised, have the ability to manage their own workload whilst managing and monitoring the activities of the IG Operational Team. You will use their own initiative, have the ability to work under pressure and be proactive in monitoring and delegating tasks within the team to meet deadlines and key performance indicators.
You must be able to demonstrate experience of managing administrative staff within the NHS, communicating on highly sensitive matters, an understanding of IT access controls and the use and development of spreadsheet and databases to log and monitor activity and performance.
Day to day line management of the System Access Administrators within the IG Operational Team, including allocating tasks, setting and monitoring delivery of objectives, addressing any gaps in performance, conducting regular 1:1s and leading the daily Operational Team meeting.
Conducting annual appraisals and identifying and addressing gaps in training and monitoring delivery of KPIs and working with the IG Manager to address any deviation.
Conducting audits in relation to the system accounts managed by the Operational Team. Ensure databases are maintained to monitor performance and volumes of work conducted by the Team.
Lead on the creation and management of Epic access for internal and external IT analysts and external organisations. Lead on the setup of bulk Epic requests and manage remote access requests for CUH vendors.
Work with the IG Manager to ensure that the Registration Authority system remains up to date, ensure that the team responds to access requests and support and usage remains aligns to the national and local policies and procedures.
Network with the Trust’s IT users to ensure that the Operational Team continue to meet demand. Organise and participate in meetings and engagement events.
