Assembly / Benchhands Barker Ross are recruiting for Assembly Operatives / Bench hands to work for our client based in Falkirk. This is ongoing, full-time work that will lead to a permanent position with our client. The role would suit candidates with proven experience in a manufacturing or construction industry. Working on assembly tables as part of the team of 4-6 operatives with a chargehand as lead, assembling wall panels or floor cassettes Pay: £14.50 per hour Hours: 38hrs paid A productivity bonus scheme will be introduced enabling employees to earn a further 20% of their salary Mon-Thu 7:30-16:30 Fri- 7:30-14:00 1hour break: 15 min morning and 45 min lunch. Friday - 30mins onlyDuties: · Unload components from trolleys delivered to work area · Lift/ move products individually or as a pair (6kg-20kg) · Layout out components in correct order referring to layout drawings as required. · Using battery power tools to fasten light steel components · Apply labelling, undertake dimensional and quality checks · Fasten cement particle board or metal deck sheets to assemble metal frame · Attach lifting slings. · Operation of assembly tables and overhead crane (training provided) · General housekeeping Requirements: · Ability to work as part of a busy team. · Self-motivated, conscientious, and enthusiastic. · Good timekeeping and attendance. · Keen, flexible, adaptable with a positive attitude. · Physically fit · Previous experience in manufacturing or construction environment is beneficial.
