WHAT TO EXPECT
As a Seatings Systems Engineer in our Body and Chassis team, you will focus on the development and delivery of the Seating System Product, using System Engineering Methods and Tools.
You will be focusing on delivering our functional systems artefacts according to the programme needs and aligning with Network Releases milestones.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Delivery of Seating systems across the range of JLR vehicles, through robust requirements.
2. Refine and verify functional requirements through models, using MBSE framework.
3. Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Functional Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
4. Acquire technical expertise in complex systems and tools and processes. e.g. Logical Architecture Diagram (LAD), Functional System Requirements Document (FSRD), Functional Failure Analysis (FFA), Requirements cascade, Requirements tools, Systems application onto programmes.
5. Contribute to continuous improvement activities e.g. Resolution of quality concerns and prevent recurrence activities, together with System Leaders, test engineers and SME.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1. Understanding of a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector.
2. Understanding of automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
3. Understanding of Systems Engineering, V-Model, Systems Integration, Systems Architecture, Requirements management.
4. Understanding of Model based engineering (MBE).
5. Understanding of requirements Management (RM).
