Customer service is meeting the needs and desires of any customer. One of the key responsibilities of the Customer Services Manager is to provide their team with the required tools and support to complete their tasks to the best of their ability. It is also essential that the supervisor is able to review KPIs and metrics to determine the course of action within their team to improve not only the result but also the service provision. Additionally, the role requires a strong working relationship with both domestic transport and operations to provide the best all-round solution for our customers. Leadership of the Customer Solutions team in Cannock. Quality checks on bookings. Customer queries and escalations via phone, email, face to face. Working closely with imports, exports, charter, domestic and warehouse. Raising escalations with partners. Spot quotes and existing business sales calls, developing a “hot prospect” list of potential new lanes or lost business. Supporting Sales Hub & external sales. Onboarding new customers. Allocating & servicing new business. Improving and finding inefficiencies within the processes. Working closely with the UK Customer Solutions Manager & Customer Engagement & Implementation Manager. Reporting on turnover, margins, bookings, top/flop business. Project work and KPI creation/monitoring. One to ones, team briefings and appraisals. Participate in training sessions to remain updated on compliance protocols and procedures. Any other additional tasks in line with the evolving needs of the business.
