THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You will be an experienced Fire Safety professional, within the Rail environment, working closely with the Head of Health & Safety to implement the Fire Safety Policy, undertaking Fire Risk Assessments, investigations and audits and associated compliance and audit activities. ABOUT THE JOB As the Fire Safety Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation of the Fire Safety Policies and Procedures across the network, from Stations, Offices and Maintenance depots, therefore previous experience in the Rail sector is essential to understand the Rail Standards. You will be carrying out all Fire Risk Assessments at each location, and Fire Investigations when required. By supporting the wider business as well as the Training department to ensure everyone within the business ensures compliance with the fire legislation and industry standards. THE REQUIREMENTS Experienced Fire Safety professional with experience in the Rail Sector, you will have an in-depth knowledge of relevant fire safety legislation including a good understanding of active and passive fire protection. It is also required that you hold a Fire risk assessment qualification and Fire investigation qualification.
