Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare Bills of Costs for Detailed/Provisional Assessment.
* Manage the litigation of bills through the Court process.
* Conduct advocacy at Court when required and agreed with the Costs Partner.
* Provide advice to clients, take instructions, and maintain ongoing communication throughout the case.
* Offer technical support to fee earners and assist with training junior team members.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrated experience working in-house or for an external supplier of costs drafting services.
* Basic knowledge of legal procedures.
* Proven proficiency with IT systems and time recording tools.
* The ability to thrive in a pressurised and fast-paced environment.
* A flexible approach to rapidly changing schedules and priorities.
* Exceptional communication skills, including a professional telephone manner.
* The capability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
* Financial or legal qualifications, such as ACL qualification or ILEX Part 1 Year 1.
* Experience within legal departments.
