Are you looking for your first role as a qualified Occupational Therapist? Look no further! UHBW is a large trust in the West of England where your career can get off to a great start. We support our new Band 5's through the preceptorship programme, peer support meetings, and in-service training.
You will rotate approximately every 6 months, developing your clinical skills in a range of areas: our rotation entails a diverse range of settings, including working in the Emergency Department, ITU, and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC). We also have a rotation within the Weston SSARU and at NBT's Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit to experience stroke services.
The Adult Therapy Service at UHBW is integrated, so you will work closely alongside physios and other therapists on the ward. We have well-established teaching plans, supervision structures, and cake rotas!
Feedback from one of our existing B5 OTs: "This rotation has allowed me to grow in confidence and build my self-esteem in the acute setting".
We would be delighted to hear from a range of applicants from different backgrounds or with additional needs.
