Your Responsibilities:
* To provide structural engineering support at all stages of the development process, from initial viability advice to full design packages.
* Review all aspects of value engineer viability and challenge the building design.
* Assess and appraise consultant's designs for suitability and to ensure the designs are the most cost effective compliant with legislation and practical.
* Work closely with the Manufacturing Technical Director and the Preconstruction team to drive the standardisation.
* Advise the wider group on all matters related to Timber frame and offer efficiency solutions to production and site installation.
Required Skills:
* Min. 3-year experience as Chartered Engineer (MIStructE).
* Previous work experience from a STA Assure gold design office and job running experience.
* Experience in AutoCAD.
* Experience in Revit (advantage).
* Thorough understanding of technical and regulatory requirements.
* Ability to interpret geotechnical and environmental reports and make suitable recommendations.
* Thorough knowledge of assessment of ground conditions for foundation and sub-structure design.
* Thorough knowledge of remediation techniques and methodology.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise.
Key Skills: structural engineer, construction, AutoCAD, REVIT, housing, timber frame.
