We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team in an exciting role that involves engaging directly with families in our communities.
As part of our work to support children’s development and school readiness, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by working with families living in disadvantaged areas.
Your role will include reaching out to families registered with the Children’s Centre, sharing valuable information on key issues such as child health and development, and preparing children for school.
Through direct engagement—such as home visits—you will provide vital support, helping families access the resources they need to give their children the best possible start in life.
If you are enthusiastic about making a positive change, thrive in community work, and enjoy building meaningful relationships with families, this role is perfect for you!
Essential criteria for the position:
* Level 2 in Early Years, Health & Social Care or similar
* Good knowledge of the reach area/community the children’s centre serves
* Strongly motivated
* Full driving license and own vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
* An enhanced DBS will be undertaken
The hours are Monday – Friday 9.00 – 4.30 pm with a thirty-minute unpaid lunch break.
On a weekly rotation, you will be working with Children Centre’s across these areas: Anfield, Everton, Tuebrook, West Derby, County, Fountains, Walton & Vauxhall.
We strongly advise you to apply your skills and experience to the person specification when submitting your CV on the application page. We cannot emphasize this enough.
Choose ‘Outreach Worker’ from the dropdown menu. No agencies, please.
Please state on the application form which centre you are applying for immediately below the drop-down question box. If you wish to be considered for both, please type both centre names.
If you are not working, you may be able to access assistance via our Paths to Prosperity programme, the staff of whom are completely separate from the recruitment and selection team.
Closing date: Please submit as soon as possible but no later than 10 am, Monday 15th of November 2024.
