Datacenter Network Cable Install Technician, Infrastructure Delivery

AWS is looking to hire a highly motivated, Datacenter Network Cable Install Technician to join the growing Korean Infrastructure Delivery organization. The Install Technician will work closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution in a very short period of time. Must also have great attention to detail and maintain high quality standards. Amazon Data Centers take customer data with the utmost importance, and selected candidates must be able to perform strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that ensure customer data and company intellectual property is protected and properly handled.
The Install Technician is responsible for installing structured network cabling, such as optical fiber and ethernet cables inside our data centers. Install Technicians will also be working with their teammates as well as with members of other teams to connect and troubleshoot new server capacity. This is an entry-level position and a unique opportunity to work in some of the most innovative and fast-paced data centers in the world. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Key job responsibilities
1. Adhere to safety and security best practices in the data center
2. Install Optical fiber and Ethernet cables inside data center facilities
3. Basic Networking configurations
4. Creating/attaching labels and barcodes
5. Documenting procedures
6. Track and prepare cabling for incoming equipment in advance
7. Report current status via ticketing system, provide status reports, and email updates
8. Manage multiple concurrent interdisciplinary projects and ability to work in a team
9. Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain cleanliness
10. Inventory, track and manage project related materials throughout project lifecycle
11. Reading and comprehending spreadsheets, blueprints and building documentation
12. Decommissioning of legacy equipment
Minimum Requirements
1. 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
2. 1+ years of computer networking experience
3. Bachelor's degree
