About the School Our school provides a caring and safe environment for pupils aged 11 to 14 with a range of special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Many of our students have experienced interruptions in their education or difficulties in previous school settings. Through a carefully tailored curriculum that combines social, emotional, and academic development, we help pupils re-engage with learning and develop the skills they need to lead independent, fulfilling lives. We also offer a range of enriching activities, including learning to care for animals and competing in e-sports tournaments, to help build confidence and foster personal growth. Your Role as a Teaching Assistant As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide support to students with SEND, both one-on-one and in small groups. Assist teachers in delivering a curriculum that meets pupils' individual education, health, and care (EHC) plans. Help students develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills to re-engage with their education. Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom disruptions effectively. Support pupils during extracurricular activities and other enrichment opportunities. Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued.
