The role
As a Graduate Sustainability Consultant, you’ll learn a wide range of energy and sustainability skills while helping internal teams deliver sustainability tasks for various projects.
As part of the role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Undertake building performance simulation and energy-related workstreams using various modelling approaches, tools, and techniques.
* Develop energy strategies with clients to lead sustainability innovation on developments.
* Support the development of holistic Sustainability Strategies.
* Assist in delivering environmental assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc.) from early design stages to completion.
* Develop knowledge of whole life carbon reporting to support clients' Net Zero Carbon strategies.
* Communicate and engage with clients, design teams, and contractors on projects, with opportunities to visit construction sites.
* Engage directly with industry through research, development studies, and authoring industry guidance.
What we are looking for
Key Skills & Knowledge:
* Educated to degree level in Engineering, Architecture, or the Built Environment.
* Knowledge/awareness of BREEAM, WELL, Whole Life Carbon, or Energy Modelling is desirable.
* Appreciation of broader sustainability issues, including sustainability governance and reporting, sustainability strategies, climate change adaptation, and behaviour change.
About you:
* Experience working within the built environment sector.
* Currently working within a sustainability or engineering consultancy, seeking a new challenge.
* Expertise with a degree in engineering/science and experience in the field, along with a passion for sustainable solutions.
* Enjoy being part of a dynamic team within a progressive and respected firm.
* Good communication skills and enthusiasm for teamwork.
* Serious about sustainability.
