Based onsite at our client’s huge base near Watford, where as well as Hard and Soft Services, Skanska also deliver Technical Services to the client.
Based in the Technical Services team the Technical Administrator – CAD will play a key role in managing our technical document libraries and assisting in the production of detailed Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) drawings. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and compliance of technical documentation while supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.
What you'll do:
* Oversee and manage the daily administrative operations of the technical document libraries (both electronic and hard copy).
* Organise, update, and maintain technical documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations for secure information management.
* Develop and improve administrative processes to enhance efficiency in information management.
* Collaborate with site teams to provide MEP/map layout drawings predominantly using the CAD tool .
* Conduct site surveys, taking accurate measurements to create precise drawings.
* Assist in asset tagging exercises to ensure accurate documentation of new assets.
* Maintain and update technical drawings in the CAFM system, ensuring real-time accuracy.
* Track, issue, receive, review, and file all asset capture information and project records.
* Support the coordination of facilities and administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Proven experience in an administrative or technical admin support role.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documentation and workflows effectively.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate documentation.
* AutoCAD experience (ideally a minimum of 1 year) - or similar CAD tool - within a drawing office or building services environment.
* Experience working in a collaborative team environment with a proactive approach.
* Able to gain DV security clearance (resided in the UK for the past 10 yrs)
