An opportunity has become available for a Gas Engineer to become part of C~urb’s Property Maintenance Team. The Gas Engineer will provide a high quality and efficient service, carrying out all aspects of gas servicing and maintenance to properties owned or managed by Link Group. The Gas Engineer will be responsible for identifying and recording any defects found (and make safe) in accordance with the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure and report parts and work required promptly.
All undertakings will be in line with statutory requirements, regulatory and technical standards, customer expectations and organisational procedures.
There will be a requirement to work throughout Link's areas of operation, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential. You will be able to plan your own workload and work flexibly to ensure that timescales are met. Access to a van, power tools, mobile phone, uniform, and PPE are provided.
About You
We are looking for applications from experienced, fully qualified Gas Engineers who demonstrate the highest of professional standards, especially in respect of compliance, quality and customer service.
You should have full domestic A.C.S. Qualifications to include; CPA1, CENWAT, CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, City & Guilds NVQ (ACS Aligned) Level 3 or equivalent. For natural gas domestic installations and be Gas Safe registered.
You will be able to demonstrate experience in the repair of gas systems and express knowledge of current gas regulations and the Gas Industry Unsafe situations procedures, combined with a sound technical knowledge of gas systems including fault diagnosis and rectification.
The successful postholder will have current knowledge and awareness of relevant Health and Safety requirements and an understanding of legislation and how both impact on method of work and customer needs.
It is essential that you have a knowledge of, and a commitment to, excellent customer care. Strong organisational skills with flexibility to provide a proactive and responsive service are essential for this role.
This role requires a current UK Driving Licence.
