The Scottish Public Pensions Agency is an Agency of the Scottish Government. Our principal role is to administer the pensions for employees in the National Health Service, Teachers’, Police and Fire-fighters’ pension schemes in Scotland. As a pension administrator, you will be part of our operational delivery team helping to ensure our members receive accurate pension information. You will provide excellent customer service by responding to member queries, processing and analysing data from employers and ensuring member’s pensions are paid accurately and on time. You will also play a key role in helping us to deliver the 2015 McCloud Sargeant Remedy project. Responsibilities Provide the member with correct and accurate information by applying a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of complex scheme regulations and administering all parts of the pension lifecycle including calculating benefits and payments. Collect, analyse and process customer information accurately and securely whilst maintaining member and scheme records in compliance with all data regulations. Prioritise all customer and third-party requests, ensuring problems are resolved promptly and efficiently in compliance with the correct scheme regulations, agreed procedures and timescales. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the specific pension schemes, applying this expertise to administer casework of varying complexities, interrogating member records, making the appropriate decisions in line with the standards of the Agency. Actively identify and participate in opportunities for continuous improvement to customer service, contributing to the development of more effective ways of working throughout SPPA. We offer a range of flexible and hybrid working options, with two days minimum working on site at SPPA. Successful candidates will be required to attend the office in person for their full contractual hours for the initial 12 weeks during their induction for training purposes.
