The Anglian Water @one Alliance is a totally collaborative organisation made up of nine partner companies (Anglian Water, SWECO, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, and Skanska) and an extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we’ve ever delivered before. We’ll be embarking on a new kind of project delivery focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and urban drainage schemes.

What will you be doing as our new BIM Technician?
As our new BIM Technician, you’ll produce advanced 3D designs and models mainly relating to the Civil, Structural, Mechanical design of water assets in a timely and accurate fashion.
Key responsibilities:
1. Produce 3D models and drawings ensuring compliance with relevant local and national standards using BIM applications like Plant3D, Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks and Recap.
2. Work with all members of a multi-disciplinary team.
3. Provide input to the pre-construction Health and Safety Plan, including risk assessments, so that it can be prepared and updated at appropriate intervals.
4. Ensure technical content of all work is carried out in accordance with the agreed timescales and budgets.
5. Work cross-functionally across the Alliance to ensure project requirements are met and drive efficient delivery.
6. Participate in project reviews relating to design, progress and construction to receive questions and challenges in a constructive manner.
7. Proactively research, present and implement innovative new processes and ways of working to optimise output.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours….
To be considered for this role, ideally, you’ll possess an engineering diploma, degree or equivalent in Civil/ Structural Engineering. Proven proficiency in either or a combination of Plant3D, Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks and Recap is essential. Ability to generate and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specification and aware of the latest relevant standards affecting engineering deliverables e.g. IOS 9001, PAS 1192. You’ll possess excellent communication skills and have a passion for solving design issues using technology.
You’ll demonstrate the passion and flair to work with several teams to produce easy-to-follow and relevant computer aided engineering solutions.
