Northern Education Trust is seeking a motivated and ambitious leader with a passion for educational excellence to become the senior director of maths for the trust’s secondary academies. What the role involves
1. As senior director of maths you will play a crucial role in securing outstanding outcomes for children at the end of Key Stage 4 and 5. You will remain a practitioner and teach Y11 key students in at least one trust secondary close to your base.
2. You will provide strategic and operational oversight of the delivery of maths across the trust, including adapting, amending or refining the maths curriculum from Key Stage 3 to 5.
3. You will work systematically to implement NET’s tried and tested NORTHERN model of school improvement across all trust secondary academies.
4. You will line manage a team of 8 supernumerary maths directors, coordinating their deployment to ensure the best possible outcomes for students and rapidly improving provision at all stages.
5. You will coordinate the trust maths CPD offer for staff through the NET Staff College.
6. You will represent the trust in national and regional sector events to contribute to the wider development of maths beyond the trust.
7. You will deliver trust programmes of support for schools we are asked to work with as an external provider to fulfil the wider school improvement offer for our neighbouring schools.
