We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse for Care of the Elderly.
Pirton Ward is a twenty-two bedded HASU Hyper acute stroke unit, it is a medical dementia friendly ward. We are an acute medical ward, so you will see a variety of medical conditions actively treated. These include cardiac and respiratory problems, stroke, and diabetes. We provide terminal care for clients with cancer, heart failure, and other medical conditions.

Main duties of the job
The Registered Nurse post is a vital and valued role to support in providing high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients and their families/carers.
1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care needs of patients from admission to discharge, with the involvement of patients and their relatives/carers.
2. Ensure a high standard of nursing care is performed at all times and assist in the review and regular update of these standards in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct and trust policies.
3. Participate within a team of nurses and support workers in providing continuity of patient care, ensuring patients' physical, social, and psychological needs are met.
4. Participate in internal shift rotation in order to provide 24-hour patient care.
5. Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, nursing colleagues, the Multidisciplinary Team, and all other relevant personnel.
