Are you a qualified teacher with SEN experience? Have you managed a team? Would you relish the chance to escape the constraints of a classroom environment? We are a provider of bespoke education packages for young people who may be autistic, have a learning disability, and/or have social, emotional and mental health needs that have created a barrier to accessing traditional classroom learning. Working 1:1 or 2:1 with young people in their homes, in the community, and within college settings, we teach the life skills our learners will need as they transition into adulthood. Our unique curriculum, aligned to the Preparation for Adulthood pathways, ensures that young people are given opportunities to apply their learning in real-life situations. Working from our base in Aylesbury, you will be responsible for developing individual learning programmes for a group of learners, taking into account each student s particular interests and ambitions. Setting realistic goals and targets, you will oversee the planning and delivery of learning, and the evidencing and assessment of progress. By effectively leading and managing a team of Community Teaching Assistants, you will ensure that learners programmes are maintained to a high standard throughout the learning cycle, providing training and guidance to staff, auditing progress records, and observing and providing feedback on teaching skills. With an ambitious and positive attitude towards both learner and staff development, you will inspire and demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education for young people with complex needs. Note: This is a full-time role, 52 weeks a year, working 38 hours a week. IND2 What we need from you You must have, or currently be working towards, a Level 5 teaching qualification or PGCE. You should have management experience, and have worked with children or young people who have complex needs. You'll be a driver with your own transport, as learners are based around the area.
