We have an immediate opening for a Cloud Platform Engineer contract role based in Leeds.
Inside IR35
Day rate: £625 to £650p/day
On site working: Flexible with expectation to be in the office 1 to 2 days per week either in Leeds or London
⏳Contract length: 6 months initially with a high likelihood of multiple extensions.
Start date: ASAP subject to onboarding and compliance checks which will include DBS.
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, management, and maintenance of our development and production environments within Azure cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with our Cloud Centre of Excellence, Enterprise Architecture, Compliance, Information Security, Customer IT and various Product teams to drive quality and repeatability into our work.
Your role will include:
1. Monitoring infrastructure and environments
2. Building an organisation-wide Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps culture
3. Maintaining and creating new Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates
4. Troubleshooting complicated, cross-platform issues
5. Documenting your knowledge of environments and systems
6. Seeking opportunities to apply automation to tasks performed manually
7. Keeping up-to-date with security best-practice
Experience required:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years' experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, a demonstrable experience in modern DevOps/CloudOps practices, experience with cloud infrastructure monitoring, experience of working within controlled regulatory frameworks, and an 'automate everything' mindset.
