Quantity Surveyor\nBirmingham\n£60,000 - £85,000 DOE\nOur client is a leading Birmingham developer and wealth management company. This is a vibrant, entrepreneurial group within the residential property sector.\nWith multiple sites primarily across the Midlands, the company has grown exponentially over recent years, our client now seeks a Quantity Surveyor.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nOn Site\n * Provide support to the Senior Site Manager in performance of his duties\no Health & Safety Support including CDM\no Site Inspections\no Site meetings\no Document Management\n * Commercial Management\no Taking ownership / responsibility for the financial management of the project from inception to completion\no Negotiating contracts\no Look to strategically improve procedures by reviewing and developing operational flows, with key stakeholders within the business\no Overseeing product development and providing best practice and value for money\no Liaise with the Group Procurement Manager and monitor / update the Group Material Deals and ensure compliance by the supply chain\n * Project Financial Management\no Project Planning and programming including cash flow management and expenditure reports\no In conjunction with the site manager design co-ordination with key consultants, suppliers’, and sub-contractors\no Manage and control the risks of the project; risk management and the implementation of procedures to mitigate the risks in terms of time and cost\no Set short term and long-term goals for the project and the project team\no Procurement\no Dispute prevention and / or resolution\n * Head Office Integration\no Liaison with department heads\no Board Reports - Budget reporting, cash flow monitoring / variance reporting, costs to complete.\no Mitigation measures to overcome cost over runs / increased works package costs\no Close working relationship with the company accountant to review the current method of reporting costs and how the site reports and integrates with the same\no Prepare a set of procedures to manage that process to ensure that all costs are accounted for\no Project Quality Plan\nContact our retained consultants now to discuss in more detail
