Sheridan Maine are working on an exclusive basis to secure an immediately available Management Accountant, offered on a Temp to Perm or Interim basis, which is ideal for a proactive finance professional seeking to add value in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
As Management Accountant you will serve as a key business partner to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), collaborating with central finance, commercial, and operational teams to enhance divisional performance. This role requires both strategic insight and hands-on financial management.
Your key responsibilities as the Management Accountant:
1. Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts for the division.
2. Prepare comprehensive management accounts packs for review.
3. Perform monthly inter-company reconciliations.
4. Reconcile balance sheets and conduct bank/revenue reconciliations.
5. Drive divisional budgeting and planning processes.
6. Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and performance improvement.
To be considered for the role of Management Accountant:
1. Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
2. Background in group company structures.
3. Construction industry experience (ideal but not mandatory - specifics are WIP, CIP and Retentions).
4. Strong communication skills with a team-oriented approach.
5. Analytical, creative, and commercially astute.
