Primary Role In 2014 Lifecycle gained ISO27001 accreditation, and in 2019 ISO9001. Other key areas in this role include GDPR monitoring telco industry regulatory changes. T here exists a well-defined internal audit process which supports continuous improvement and the annual re-accreditation of certifications. Part of the Regulations and Compliance Manager’s role will be to manage the ongoing ISO processe s and GDPR compliance. This role is offered on a part time basis at 2 days per week (or similar). Key Accountabilities: Managing ISO27001 and ISO9001 a nnual audit process es and associated internal audits including the follow up of actions allocated to others Acting as Data Protection Officer Act as main point of contact with the ICO Liaise with customers regarding their data protection needs Promote data protection awareness and understanding across Lifecycle Be responsible for monitoring and reporting on GDPR compliance Escalate and report any areas of concern identified to the Senior Management Team with a plan of action Define and document new policies, procedures and working practices for current or future regulatory compliance, including the latest ISO update Ensure senior management team are kept up to date on changes in legislation that have an effect on our business Proactively monitor regulatory changes in the telco industry and their application for our clients Work with the Information Services and Technology team to update policies on data security and breech management Lead employee training on compliance related topics, policies or procedures - including induction days Provide advice and direction across the organisation in understanding the risks relating non-conformance to regulations. Promote a culture of robust regulatory compliance and continuous improvement Document management; including ensuring all documents, policies, procedures, guidance, check lists are tracked, reviewed, up to date and stored correctly. About you You wi ll have worked in a similar role, be that ISO compliance or Data Protection, with a record of driving compliance for the business, ideally leading the function or department or working closely with senior management team. You will need to have strong communication and documentation skills and be able to pro-actively get things done whilst contributing to organisational and cultural awareness and change. Being a self-starter and leading all things compliance and is key, and so is awareness of commercial implications of regulatory changes for us and our clients. Required employee skills and experience Essential Similar role or evidence of involvement in regulations, contracts and compliance monitoring Degree level or equivalent qualification Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulations Experience of the management of ISO Security/Compliance Auditing At least 5 years’ experience of working with Senior Leaders to deliver change or results Experience of working collaboratively with staff of all levels across of an organisation Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint with a high level of accuracy in all work undertaken Pro-active, adaptable approach, able to work both independently and collaboratively Thorough and accurate auditing & documenting experience Strong communication skills to inspire and educate others D esired Telecommunication and software industry knowledge will be of benefit Other Information The successful candidate will be rewarded with competitive salary, and an opportunity to make this role their own.
