We are looking for an Asset Specialist & Flow Manager to join Thames Water permanently.
As an Asset Specialist & Flow Manager you will be delivering continuous maintenance and improvement to our key asset base and network; ensuring that maintenance checks and tasks are carried out to good standard and that subsequent remedial work is brought for funding and delivered.
* 36 hours per week Monday – Friday.
* You will be covering the Thames Valley area.
* You will be based on the field, office and home.
What you will be doing as an Asset Specialist & Flow Manager?
* Ensure that all maintenance checks and tasks are completed for Balancing Ponds and Pipe Crossings.
* Liaising with the local Network Engineer team and manager to provide feedback and ensure works are completed in a timely and safe manner.
* Delivering Minor Capital Works programmes; gathering quotes and presenting the required works to the Area Delivery Manager for funding approval.
* Overseeing works being delivered by contractors, issuing permits to work and ensuring good health safety practices.
* Line management and supervision of field engineer team, ensuring the team is trained and equipped to perform their duties.
* Work with the field Engineer and Logistics team to ensure flow management plans are fit for purpose and understood by the various stakeholders whilst fostering excellent relationships and working practices amongst the teams and individuals.
* Carry out Health and Safety audits of contractors, sites, and internal teams for compliance with the relevant standards and regulations.
* Reporting and resolving issues identified where appropriate.
* Operating under Thames Water’s Zero Compromise approach to H&S.
What should you bring to the role?
* Relevant technical qualifications are desirable but not essential.
* Experience with pump systems would be preferable.
* A working knowledge of sewer networks is advantageous, especially Health & Safety.
* NRSWA Signing, lighting, and guarding - Unit 2, Operatives, preferable.
* Knowledge of pipe-laying/pipeline construction.
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
* Full UK driving licence.
