Reporting directly to the Chief RF Engineer, this exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced Antenna Design Engineer. As a vital member of the Engineering Team, you will bring your expertise to create innovative antenna designs that meet customer specifications while driving the development of new products to expand our offerings.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with RF, Mechanical, and Electronic Engineers, working alongside Sales, Commercial, and Production teams to develop concepts, proposals, and tailored solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Work independently or as part of a team alongside mechanical and electronic engineers to develop new antenna designs.
* Develop designs using 3D EM simulation software such as CST Microwave Studio.
* Assist with the assembly and testing of prototype designs.
* Coordinate with project managers, sales, procurement, commercial, and production teams to ensure workflows remain on schedule.
* Participate in and lead design reviews, managing engineering change notes throughout the product development process in line with ISO 9001 procedures.
* Mentor and support the development of junior team members.
* Create and maintain accurate project and design documentation.
* Provide updates and management information on design developments as required.
* Ensure adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and standards.
* Carry out any other duties as required by the business.
What we are looking for
* Proven track record in Antenna design
* Experience of using CST Microwave Studio (or similar)
* Familiarity with antenna radiation pattern measurements (near-field or far-field)
* Experience of using VNA’s or similar antenna measurement equipment
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
* Ability to work autonomously on tasks and as part of larger interdisciplinary teams.
* Ability to successfully develop junior team members.
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
* Ability to initiate, plan and organise.
* Proficient in using all Microsoft office packages
