JOB TITLE: Security Manager LOCATION: PARKWAY SHOPPING CENTRE, NEWBURY SHIFT PATTERN: 5 days per week, 40 hours per week PAY RATE: £12.60 per hour ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE As a Security Manager at ABM UK, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, staff, and visitors. This position requires overseeing the security operations, implementing policies and procedures, and collaborating with local authorities to maintain a secure environment. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to the onsite security team while ensuring compliance with organizational standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and manage security protocols to ensure a safe environment for all stakeholders. Maintain regular communication with local law enforcement and emergency services. Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures appropriate to identified threats. Supervise and train security personnel, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle incidents effectively. Coordinate emergency response plans and drills to prepare staff for potential emergencies. Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and operational metrics. Monitor the performance of security systems and recommend improvements as necessary. Respond to security breaches and emergencies promptly, conducting thorough investigations and reporting as needed. Requirements Proven experience in a security management role, preferably within a corporate environment. Strong knowledge of security protocols and risk management. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions. Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing security practices. Certification (e.g., SIA license) is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work flexible hours as necessary.
