Do you want to help young people think positively about their future? We are looking for a Careers Coach to help create better futures for young people in Salford You will provide careers support to 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training. You will use coaching methods and approaches, and your excellent ability to build relationships, to help young people think positively about their futures. You will track young people and keep them engaged with our service. You will support young people to overcome a range of barriers and achieve their goals. This could include moving into employment, education or training. Or building personal and social skills by connecting to new experiences, volunteering or short programmes. You’ll also link young people up to wellbeing and mental health support when required. You will help young people identify their strengths and interests, build confidence, and explore their options. You will help them get to where they want to be. We know that collaboration with leads to the best outcomes. You will have direct contact with young people, their parents/carers, and a range of professionals from support services, partner organisations, training providers and employers. You will put your excellent communication and relationship building skills into practice every day. Your salary will be between £21,912- £26,262 (Depending on experience) Location The role will be based at our office at Salford M6 5FW though you will work flexibly in venues in the community across the area. You will need to be able to manage your time well and travel independently. Qualifications Whilst a Level 3 or 4 in Careers Advice and Guidance would be preferable, we may consider candidates with a minimum 12 months experience in a similar role, if you are willing to work towards a qualification.
