Independent Review Officer/Child Protection Conference Chair (Safeguarding Service)
Salary - £49,498 - £53,630 (Grade 8)
Hours - 37 hours per week
Contract type - full time, permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the IRO/ Conference Chair role within Children’s Services.

You will have:
* Dedication to working directly with children and families to ensure that their voices are heard, and their needs are met.
* Candidates must be a qualified Social Worker with at least five years post qualifying experience
* Must have supervisory/management experience.
* A thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, experience of chairing complex meetings and a commitment to service user participation.
* Experience of managing multi-agency meetings
* Good written and oral communication skills including being able to analyse and evaluate information effectively and negotiate with colleagues
* A strong commitment to making a difference by ensuring the best outcomes for children and families
* Social Work England registration.
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to undertake:
* A Children’s panel interview
* A panel interview (including presentation)
Interviews (including presentation) will take place in person on the 13th September 2024
Children's panel interviews will take place on Saturday 21 September 2024
