About the Role
Applied Materials’ Display Controls Department is searching for an intern to join our team in Fall 2025! The department is responsible for hardware design and improvements for PCBs. The position will entail the following:
1. Assist with electronic and system documentation
2. Assist in soldering and un-soldering components on PCBs
3. Learn schematic capture and fundamentals of PCB design
4. Analyze problems along with more Senior Engineers
5. Organize and maintain our Electronics lab
6. Use test equipment to gather important data
7. Design and test various circuits
Requirements
1. Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
2. Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
3. Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
4. Desire to learn
5. Quick learner
Compensation
$29 - $37 per hour. The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
