Job description:
The Non-destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to evaluate and ensure the integrity of materials and components without causing damage. The role involves inspecting parts and assemblies using various NDT techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle testing (MPI), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPI) and visual testing (VT). The NDT Inspector plays a key role in identifying defects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting quality control and assurance processes. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards, contributing to the overall excellence of our operations. This vital role requires critical thinking and an eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct Non-Destructive Testing using techniques such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPI), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (DPI) on various components.
* Evaluate test results and prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting any defects or irregularities.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications related to NDT.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to maintain product integrity and resolve any quality-related issues
* Assist in the investigation and analysis of quality issues, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions..
* Verify the calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
* Assist in developing and improving NDT procedures and inspection criteria.
* Participate in training and mentoring of junior inspectors in NDT processes and best practices.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions taken.
Requirements
* Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (preferably Level II) in at least two methods (e.g., UT, MPI, DPI, RT).
* Proven experience as an NDT Inspector in a manufacturing or automotive environment, preferably related to motorsport or aerospace industries.
* Strong understanding of NDT principles, techniques, and applicable codes.
* Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting quality findings.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently.
* Understanding of quality assurance principles and industry standards.
* Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices.
* Proficient in MS Office applications and other relevant software tools.
* Strong commitment to safety and quality control.
