Accounts Assistant - Bournemouth
A highly-regarded law firm, based in Bournemouth, is actively searching for an Accounts Assistant to work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on a part-time basis (7 hours/day, 21 hours/week), with additional hours presented in the future.
This is a varied, interesting role with a focus on delivering timely and accurate transactional work. It's a high-volume, deadline-driven area subject to regulatory rules, so you'll need to be able to work well as part of a team.
You'll be responsible for:
1. Identification, allocation, and processing of a high volume of receipts and payments which come into the firms' bank accounts;
2. All related online banking receipt and payment processing activities;
3. Daily reconciliations of those bank accounts by effective use of our management accounting software (Tikit Partner for Windows);
4. Accurately recording all transactions on the accounting systems;
5. General administrative support.
Previous experience as a Legal Cashier/in a law firm is an advantage but not essential, as is an understanding of the principles of the Solicitors Accounts Rules. You'll have prolific working knowledge of electronic accounting systems and a high degree of IT literacy generally. Experience of, and confidence in, dealing with a high volume of financial transactions, including large transactions, is a must.

The initial salary will be in the region of £24,000 to £26,000, based on experience, and which will be reviewed once established.
