Spares Buyer\n\n£40,000 #INDCB\n\nLocations: Leeds\n\nWe're looking for a Spares Buyer to join our Client's Procurement Team. This is a key role in ensuring the efficient purchasing of spare parts and indirect procurement items. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen eye for supplier relationship management.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSource, negotiate, and procure spare parts and indirect procurement items in line with business requirements.\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and service reliability.\nMonitor stock levels and work closely with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and manage inventory effectively.\nEnsure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards.\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvements in the supply chain.\nManage supplier contracts, price negotiations, and service level agreements (SLAs).\nWork closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational needs.\nAnalyse market trends and supplier performance to optimise procurement strategies.\nProcess purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\n3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a strong preference for indirect procurement experience.\nCIPS qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.\nStrong negotiation and supplier management skills.\nExperience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment is beneficial.\nProficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
