An opportunity to be a Financial Accountant (FP+A and Fixed Assets) for a service business based in Solihull. The business operates globally and is one of the largest privately-owned European companies in its field.
Main Duties:
As a Financial Accountant, your main duties include:
1. Reviewing P&L accounts for capital items to ensure proper accounting and reporting
2. Partnering with Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) owners to develop quarterly and annual budgets and depreciation forecasts
3. Producing monthly CAPEX forecasts with variance analysis and perform fixed asset analyses for management insights
4. Overseeing the maintenance of the fixed asset register to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external reporting standards
5. Assisting the Financial Reporting & Controls Manager with month-end reporting Managing finance leases by producing accurate monthly reconciliations and ensuring relevant reporting
6. Accurately calculating depreciation for all fixed assets and preparing the corresponding journal entries
7. Preparing audit schedules related to fixed assets and assisting auditors in their inquiries and processes, ensuring adherence to business processes and policies
