Job Overview: As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in various settings such as nursing homes, hospices, and home care environments. Duties:
1. Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
2. Provide emotional support and companionship.
3. Help with household tasks including meal preparation and light cleaning.
4. Support individuals with mobility issues, including heavy lifting when necessary.
5. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed.
6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Skills:
1. Experience in childcare, senior care, or patient care is advantageous.
2. Ability to handle heavy lifting and assist individuals with mobility challenges.
3. Knowledge of hospice care and nursing home protocols is beneficial.
4. Strong communication skills and empathy towards those in need.
5. Proficient in providing personal care and maintaining a safe environment.
