Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced ITSM Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimisation of IT Service Management (ITSM) toolsets and processes in a secure MoD environment. The role will focus on configuring and managing REMEDY modules, ensuring alignment with ITIL-based MoD ITSM processes, and supporting ITSM tool procurement and integration—requires deep expertise in ITSM tooling, process alignment, and REMEDY configuration within managed service or large enterprise environments following ITIL best practices.
* Design, implement, and optimise ITSM toolsets to align with MoD ITSM processes, which are ITIL-based.
* Ensure that ITSM tools (primarily REMEDY) are configured effectively to support and enhance service processes.
* Work closely with internal and external teams to define ITSM workflows, tool integrations, and process automation.
* Configure and manage REMEDY modules according to ITSM best practices, ensuring seamless integration into existing service processes.
* Assess and refine current REMEDY configurations, identifying areas for enhancement, standardisation, and compliance with MoD ITSM policies.
* Provide technical expertise on ITSM tooling, ensuring that REMEDY and related toolsets optimally align with organisational objectives.
* Support the evaluation, selection, and procurement of additional ITSM tools to enhance the existing service management environment.
* Provide recommendations on toolset enhancements, upgrades, or replacements in line with industry best practices.
Qualifications
* ITIL knowledge and experience are essential (certification is desirable but not required).
* Security clearance: Active SC or eligibility for SC (DV desirable).
Desired skills
* Familiarity with MoD ITSM policies, JSPs, and Defence Digital service frameworks.
* Exposure to service automation, tool integrations, and ITSM workflow improvements.
Experience
* Extensive experience in ITSM process alignment and tool configuration within managed service providers or large enterprise environments following ITIL-based frameworks.
* Deep expertise in configuring and managing REMEDY modules, ensuring effective process alignment and seamless integration into ITSM workflows.
* Strong understanding of ITIL-aligned ITSM processes, including Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Transition.
* Ability to evaluate, configure, and enhance ITSM tooling, ensuring alignment with MoD ITSM frameworks and organisational requirements.
* Experience supporting ITSM tool procurement, vendor assessments, and tool integration strategies.
