Job Title: Junior Project Manager (IT) About the Role: We are looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our team and support the delivery of infrastructure and security programs. The Junior Project Manager will assist with project planning, tracking, and communication, and will work under the guidance of senior project managers to ensure the successful delivery of IT infrastructure and security solutions. Responsibilities: Project Management: Assist in managing IT infrastructure and security projects from initiation to completion. Help in tracking project scope, budget, schedule, and resources. Support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks. Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed on project progress. Ensure project deliverables are aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements. Reporting: Assist in preparing reports on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Regularly update project stakeholders on progress, challenges, and risk management efforts. Help with using project management tools to track project performance and generate reports. Prepare summaries and reports for internal meetings. IT Applications: Oversee the implementation and management of IT applications that support organizational objectives. Ensure the alignment of IT applications with the overall IT infrastructure and security strategies. Collaborate with application developers and software vendors to integrate new applications and ensure they meet security and performance standards. Monitor the performance of IT applications and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay informed about emerging IT application trends and technologies relevant to government and public sector services. Infrastructure Expertise: Possess knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, and virtualization technologies. Understand cloud computing platforms and their security implications. Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to design, implement, and manage secure IT infrastructure solutions. Stay updated on emerging infrastructure trends and technologies relevant to government and public services. Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain robust IT security controls to safeguard government data and systems. Develop and manage IT security policies and procedures aligned with government regulations and best practices (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework). Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address security threats. Collaborate with the security team to develop and implement incident response plans. Consulting Experience: Leverage experience gained at a Big 4 accounting firm or Accenture to bring strong project management methodologies and best practices to the role. (PLUS) Understand the unique challenges and regulatory environment of government and public sector organizations. Be familiar with advanced compliance processes and security compliance requirements. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA is a plus. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent. Proven experience in IT program management, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management role. Demonstrated knowledge of IT infrastructure and security concepts. Experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm or Accenture is preferred. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM certification is desirable. Strong analytical capability and advanced Excel skills. Strong attention to detail, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability and comfort interacting with all levels of management, business leaders, and technology stakeholders. Understand the privacy and confidentiality of clients (will be under NDA).
