Job Title:
Airworthiness Support Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities:
* To provide airworthiness support for the repair and overhaul of Aircraft components in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
* To seek and gain approval for deviations from published data, ensuring that these are processed using established procedures.
* To provide technical assistance to Operations, including Missing and Damage reports, Tooling Information sheets, and Equipment Work Instructions.
* To assist in technical investigations, analyzing and recommending improvements as necessary.
* To develop new capabilities within the company, providing correct tooling, equipment, processes, and training.
* To facilitate the creation and amendment of Master Task Lists on the company control system (SAP), and Master Parts Lists (tree) data.
* All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures.
Education and Qualifications:
* Ideal qualification: Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical).
* Higher National Diploma or equivalent relevant industry experience considered.
* Training in Lean manufacturing, Continuous improvement, and Statistical Process Control beneficial.
* An additional language (German / French) useful.
Experience and Knowledge:
* Mandatory Manufacturing Industry experience, ideally in Aircraft / MRO environment, working with OEM Data.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and basic metrology skills.
* Understanding of mechanical aspects of manufacturing processes.
* Experience with production control packages (MRP / ERP / SAP etc.).
* Familiarity with LTLGS manufacturing technologies (Machines Shop / NDT / Plating / Assembly etc).
* Proficient in Microsoft Packages (Advance Excel functions / Visual Basic).
* Experience with 3D CAD systems (Solid Works), modeling and drafting, simulation (FEA) and kinematics beneficial.
* Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
* Familiarity with aircraft industry airworthiness system (EASA 145 / CAMO / Part M etc).
Working Conditions:
* The job requires flexibility in terms of working schedule, both on and off site, based on business needs.
* The role is office based, but with a requirement for day-to-day support to the company shop floor, including plating shop exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals and heavy lifting equipment.
Additional Requirements:
* Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
* Mandatory Training required.
Estimated Salary:
$85,000 - $110,000 per annum depending on experience
