Responsibilities
What we’re looking for:
1. Selling of Essential products to customers according to AOP
2. Trade Route: Swellendam, Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn, Karoo and Beauford West
3. Maintain Market/Forward share and strategize with customers.
4. Negotiating SOV on leaflets and social media adverts
5. Maintain merchandising standards
6. Maintain budget spending and space for our brands
7. Volume budget
8. Adspend budget
9. Order placement through clerks/Pace
10. Relationships
11. Stock controlling and rotation (handling of short dated stock & plans to sell out)
12. Negotiating space and price within parameters (Understanding customers expectations on margins)
13. Understand margins/nett. Cost etc and setting of RSP’s
14. Minimize Returns
15. Follow up on orders/logistics
16. Debtors queries/payment/claims and pricing
17. Strategic thinking regarding opposition brands
18. Merchandising
19. Executing Sales & Marketing campaigns (Themes)
20. Focus on Selling direct trucks vs depot orders
21. Monitor marketing signage
22. Pallet control-discussion with customers (Chep)
Qualifications
What will qualify you for the role:
1. 3 year Qualification in Sales and Marketing or equivalent.
2. Minimum 2 years' experience in Grains/ Wheat or Rice Sales (Raw Material)
3. Key Account promotional strategy experience
4. Financial literacy experience
5. Knowledge of the business
6. Negotiating abilities
7. Understanding Margins
8. Strategic thinking
