Summary
Purpose
The Recruitment Lead is aligned to business units within AQA and is their key point of contact and expertise to help define current and horizon recruitment planning. They will deliver high engagement attraction strategies that position AQA as an employer of choice. They will develop and implement talent pipelines in line with AQA’s EDI objectives.
Landscape
Core Recruitment sits within the wider Resourcing and Talent team, within People Group. Working closely with HRBPs and HR Advisors, Core Recruitment works across all business units to provide a bespoke recruitment service. Whilst delivery is key, the extra value of the Core Recruitment Team is in their ability to market map and create highly engaged, external and internal talent pipelines. In 2021/2022, Core Team delivered circa 300 hires with approximately 60% of those being internal moves. We utilise Workday as our ATS and Teams/Outlook for our virtual communications.
Activities
Work closely with HRBPs and assigned business areas to understand, lead and deliver on current and horizon recruitment needs – create a clear “roadmap” of how needs could be met utilising full range of attraction solutions
Create a compelling and positive experience for candidates and hiring managers. Ensure we attract and retain the best candidates. Provide expertise and coaching to hiring managers – supporting them to be effective in role specification through to onboarding
Be a Brand Ambassador for the AQA brand. Ensure that AQA values are integral to attraction, selection, offer processes and are fundamental to the candidate, hiring manager and recruiter experience
Commission and partner with Resource Marketing Consultant to advise, shape and influence attraction strategy
Develop and implement talent pipelines across assigned business units
Evaluate and measure recruitment activity taken to inform future improvements
Embed EDI in all attraction and selection approaches
Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns within KPIs, utilising innovative and traditional marketing channels, writing recruitment adverts whilst evaluating and measuring campaign success against quality of candidates
Manage all aspects of the recruitment process for candidates including overseeing the application process, including screening, making and negotiating offers and managing candidate expectations and experience through the entire process
Plan and manage a range of assessment and selection activities, advising Hiring Managers on best practice to ensure successful candidates meet role requirements.
Monitor the activities of talent competitors and respond accordingly to differentiate AQA in the market, providing reports and recommendations to inform the resourcing strategy.
Use data and insight to evaluate resourcing effectiveness and make improvements to the resourcing service and solutions that are effective and evidence based.
Need to know: to be successful in this role you will need
Confidence to investigate, analyse and deliver a recruitment plan within an organisation that has a continuous improvement and high-change mindset
Broad knowledge of and passion for established and emerging sourcing techniques and approaches
