Marches Ambulance Service is seeking a Crowd Doctor or Event Practitioner to join our medical team for Hereford FC’s home fixtures, supporting the Medical Coordinator in providing expert care to crowds of over 2,000 attendees. This role is ideal for medical professionals experienced in pre-hospital and major incident management who are passionate about providing high levels of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Working in collaboration with the Medical Coordinator, you will:
* Arrive prior to spectator admission and remain on duty until all attendees have exited and clearance is provided by the Safety Officer.
* Oversee medical care for the crowd, working closely with the onsite medical team to ensure coordinated, effective care.
* Familiarise yourself with the medical and first aid facilities, ensuring full understanding of local emergency procedures.
* Be in constant communication with the control room and readily accessible during the Match.
* Ability to attend and participate in the delivery of regular training sessions with the onsite team to include the medical team, stewards and security.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be eligible for this role, the following qualifications are required:
Crowd Doctor:
* Registered Medical Practitioner with a current licence to practise.
* Valid professional indemnity insurance.
* Current Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification and Major Incident Medical Management qualification.
* Enhanced DBS clearance.
Event Practitioner:
* Registered HCPC Paramedic or NMC Nurse with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
* Holds a position such as Specialist Paramedic, Clinical Nursing Specialist, Emergency Care Practitioner, Specialist Practitioner in Urgent Care, or Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
* Current Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and Major Incident Medical Management qualifications.
* Enhanced DBS clearance.
