Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Technician to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This hands-on role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft to ensure they meet the highest safety and airworthiness standards. You will join a small team with a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine and unscheduled maintenance, including 50-hour, 100-hour, and annual inspections on various aircraft.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, structural, and avionics faults.
* Conduct maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines, technical manuals, and UK CAA regulations.
* Perform system upgrades, engine overhauls, and airframe repairs as required.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities to ensure compliance with UK CAA standards.
* Work closely with the CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation) to ensure airworthiness directives and regulatory requirements are met.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces to the highest health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Proven experience as an Aircraft Technician, ideally with general aviation aircraft.
* Familiarity with Piper, Cessna, Beechcraft, and Socata aircraft is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of UK CAA Part CAO/Part 145 requirements and aviation maintenance regulations.
* Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and keen attention to detail.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
* Relevant certifications in aviation maintenance (e.g., CAA B1.2 licence or equivalent).
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* A proactive approach with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
