SEMH Learning Support Assistant
* Special school
* Social, emotional & mental health needs (SEMH)
* January start
* KS2 class
* Full-time / Long-term
We work on behalf of a brilliant special school on the outskirts of Bath that is looking for a full-time SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support in one of their KS2 classes. The school looks after a range of special needs but is primarily focused around SEMH & ASD.
We have 2 full-time members of staff working at the school currently, who absolutely love their time there, commenting on how supportive a team they are. The school is also incredibly supportive of candidates who wish to develop into more senior roles and will support TAs wanting to start their teacher training.
The role
The gap the school has is within a KS2 class of 8 SEMH & ASD students. You will work alongside a permanent TA in supporting the class teacher with whatever they need.
You must be proactive, positive, patient, and confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. Due to the needs of the students, it is important you have worked with SEMH before in some capacity, but they are open to a range of applications.
In addition, you will receive:
* Guarantee Pay Scheme opportunities
* Permanent job roles
* Support and advice during the clearance and onboarding process
* Working to Agency Workers Regulations
* Interview preparation, advice, and support
* Statutory employment rights, such as sick pay, holiday pay, maternity, and paternity pay
