Crematorium General Assistant
Location: Weston Super Mare Crematorium
Salary: £24,316.55 per annum (£12.20 per hour)

We currently have an opportunity for a Crematorium General Assistant to join our dedicated team of funeral professionals at Weston Super Mare Crematorium. As a General Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations within the crematorium. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a respectful and dignified environment while providing essential assistance to our staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare chapels for each service considering client needs including varying religious requirements.
* Perform administration duties.
* Operate the cremators and ancillary equipment in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
* Ensure the safe custody of cremated remains left in the care of the crematorium.
* Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping both in and outside the Chapel and ancillary rooms.
* Conduct witness interments and scattering of the cremated remains.
* Ensure the consistent delivery of the highest levels of client service.
This Role Will Suit Someone Who:
* Holds 2+ years experience in a customer service environment.
* Has a high attention to detail.
* Has a proactive approach and willingness to communicate effectively with a range of people, both in-person, over the phone, and via email.
* Can successfully multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
* Is computer literate and experienced using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
* Is presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy.
