What you will be doing: You will be responsible for the creation of component/assembly/systems designs and associated through-life justification that meet their requirements and product attributes of life, cost, availability, and safety margins. Additionally, you will: Create solutions and justifications that are robust against variation, taking account the full life cycle (concept, design, manufacture, operation, and disposal). Integrate cross-discipline engineering concepts which include manufacturing engineering, simulation, materials, testing, and supply chain. Document and verify information against sound mechanical engineering practices and references. Present evidence at technical reviews in front of peers and expert panels. Publish safety and technical reports which are subjected to customer and regulatory scrutiny. It is preferable that you are Degree Qualified or Apprentice Trained in a relevant engineering discipline, however this is not essential as experience is equally beneficial. External Skills/Experience can be from industries such as Civil Nuclear, Marine, Petro-Chemical and Oil & Gas.
