Do you have an interest in Apple iOS devices? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Devices Management Administrator. This is a full-time position which requires the post holder to be on site during the core hours of 8am-5pm Mon-Fri.
Applications from candidates who have technical experience but do not possess systems knowledge would be welcome and if successful at interview the role will be offered at Band 3 with progression to Band 4 on full completion of competencies and training.
Main duties of the job
The Mobile Devices Management Administrator role will be responsible for managing and maintaining all iOS devices across the whole organisation.
Job responsibilities
1. Monitor and manage all corporate-owned devices that access business critical data via the Trust's Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) System.
2. Ensure devices are securely managed from the point of provisioning throughout the hardware lifecycle.
3. Review and update existing mobile device management policies.
4. Handle all repairs, device issues and customer re-provisioning calls that are presented and assigned via the Service Desk.
5. Manage devices within the on-prem core MobileIron solution.
6. Work closely with Service Desk, IT Infrastructure teams and Cyber Security to identify and resolve issues.
7. Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols for mobile device enrolment.
8. Follow up and report on all lost/stolen and accidentally damaged devices with the relevant parties.
9. Action all disable/block/quarantined/lockdown activity on any device within the core MDM configuration and the mobile network provider when required.
10. Lead and work closely with Digital Services Teams where necessary for all major OS and application updates.
11. Support our organisational mobile security standards.
Person Specification
Experience
* Technical knowledge of an Enterprise Mobility Management System.
* In-depth knowledge and proven work experience in Mobile Iron EMM.
* Experience of working with teams and individuals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds to solve IT problems.
* Hands-on experience in security systems, including endpoint devices management, anti-virus software and data leak protection.
Communication
* Demonstrate effective customer care skills, including how to understand, deliver and manage customer expectations.
* Able to clearly present complex technical issues to a non-technical audience via various media (PowerPoint, Papers).
Analytical skills
* Ability to analyse and interpret information and make valid contributions to decision making at team level.
Physical skills
* Reasonable level of fitness due to a large degree of walking to various locations across campus.
Planning
* Able to work both as an individual using one's own initiative and as a team member, prioritising workloads.
