This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration. Leading a team of professional staff you will provide expert financial advice and support to the Council and its services in a challenging but rewarding environment. In a role which gives variety and a high degree of autonomy you will deputise for the Council's statutory finance officer and lead on the preparation of the Council's budgets and annual accounts as well as overseeing budget monitoring activity. You will also be required to provide advice and support to the Council's elected members and senior officers so excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be required.
